Is Fur still open for business?
Yes! Because Fur is classified as a non-essential business, our entire team is working remotely, but there are no plans to put a pause on production or deliveries.
Will my Fur delivery be interrupted?
We are doing our best to work with our delivery partners to ensure everyone gets their Fur package! However, there is a chance your package could get slightly delayed. If there are delivery issues that arise due to COVID-19 or any other reason, please contact [email protected] who will be happy to help you retrieve your Fur 🙂
Can COVID-19 be transmitted through mail?
The World Health Organization says it is safe to handle packages even if delivered from locations with COVID-19 cases. “The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.” The CDC agrees that the risk of transmission from surfaces is low. Additionally, all our delivery partners are taking several precautionary measures to keep your box safe. If you’d like to make extra sure that your box is safe, the CDC does have specific recommendations on how to best disinfect surfaces. Read more about that here.
What measures are your delivery and fulfillment partners taking?
Our delivery and fulfillment partners are considered “essential businesses,” so they are currently up and running. They do share our key concerns on customer and employee wellness. Employees must work 6 feet apart, and all our deliveries are no-contact. The CDC, WHO, FDA, and local authorities have all put in place guidelines and policies to ensure no cross-contamination takes place and our delivery and fulfillment partners are adhering to these guidelines. These policies include among many others: increased sanitation procedures, widespread access to hand-hygiene products, disinfecting wipes and policies to discourage sick employees from coming to work.
Do Fur employees receive paid sick leave?
The well-being of our employees has always been a priority. Fur employees have always been urged to stay home if they feel unwell and take extra care to get better so that we can have their talents and skill at 100% capacity. Fur is also 100% supportive of efforts to flatten the curve and keep our communities safe by staying home at this time. Fur has already established guidelines to cover the different situations that may evolve from Covid-19 for our employees.
I have a Fur order on its way, but I needed to relocate due to the virus and will no longer be able to retrieve my delivery. What are my options?
